Since 2010 I have specialised in one to one support, primarily for the over 50s (lots of my customers are in their 70s or 80s). I offer tuition on how to use a particular programme, or how to carry out a particular task, or getting to grips with a new computer. Tuition is always paced to suit you. You're not trying to keep up with someone else, nor held back by others that are slower than you. No question is ever silly. Many of my customers keep a list by the side of their computer and simply jot down questions as they occur. Once there are enough questions, they ring me, book an appointment, then we go through the questions on the list.

During the pandemic, home visits had to go on hold for a while, but I was able to offer remote access to those that needed it. The customer watched my mouse moving on their screen whilst we spoke on the phone. It's very effective and almost as though I was sitting next to you. With the current relaxation of lockdown, I've returned to visiting customers wearing appropriate PPE. The situation with Covid-19 is likely to affect us all for a long while, so this may change in the future, but at the moment I'm still visiting customers. So long as the weather holds, opening a window during my visit is a good idea.

In addition to home tuition, I can offer help with virus and trojan infections, wireless problems, home network security, removal of unwanted programmes, tailoring computer start up to help computer run more efficiently, setting up email (existing email or creating new email address), computer tune up, Windows reinstall or refresh and much more. I can also help with hardware repairs such as replacing a hard drive, adding memory, or general repair work on laptops and PCs. Please see the bottom of this page for the areas I cover.
